Needful Things is a family-owned store founded in 1968 and has been growing strong for three generations. We are located in the St. George building, which was built in 1850. Since then, it has been a dry good store and a place to buy everyday needs. In the 1930's it became Newberry's and in 1994 the building was purchased by the Masemer's. The eight apartments, store and cafe were completely renovated plus the front was restored to resemble a post card found dating 1906. The commercial space was expanded in 2007 to 11,000 square feet to accomodate clothing, books and electronics. The vintage building and current eclectic inventory evoke a time of slower, more personal commerce; which makes for a fun 21st-Century shopping excursion!
Thanks for visiting...we hope to see you in the store!
